Miley Cyrus made her first appearance on television at age twelve when she was
cast for the lead role on the hit Disney Channel show, Hannah Montanna. Which
became one of the highest rated series on basic cable. Soon after, the show promoted
Cyrus's music career when she signed with Morey Management Group. Her first
Hannah Montanna album was released in 2006 and it peaked at number one on the
Billboard 200 chart. Her second album included her alter ego Hannah Montanna,
but songs were also credited to her own name, Miley Cyrus. Her first single that
was release under her own name, “See You Again” was her fist top ten
hit on the Billboard Hot 100. In July, 2008 she released her second studio album
under her own name which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Miley Cyrus has
released three albums and starred in the film, The Last Song. Miley Cyrus has become
one of the most well known and highly paid artists in the world at only age 18.
