Michael Hatfield taught at Berkelee College of Music in Boston during the late 70?s and early 80?s along with Gary Burton and Pat Metheny. He moved to San Francisco and became a founding member of ?The Fabulous Bud E. Luv Show?, a musical comedy revue that has appeared on ?The Today Show? and ?Inside Edition?.
In San Francisco, Sun Microsystems gave Michael Hatfield a call to create and produce all the music for their national sales meetings in Miami and New Orleans, and Silicon Graphics assed Michael Hatfield to produce the music for their sales meeting after their success with ?Jurassic Park?. Syntex called Michael Hatfield in to portray a ?Paul Schaffer? type for their national sales meeting.
Michael Hatfield enjoys his three children, and produced and recorded the critically acclaimed children?s CD ? Rainbow of Friends? when he noticed a lack of quality children?s recordings. The recording was given the top rating by ?The School Library Journal? and was recommended for the public school systems in the U.S.
In 1996 The International Clio Awards asked Michael Hatfield back for his second year as musical director and co-master of ceremonies with ?Politically Incorrect?s? Bill Maher.
Michael Hatfield is currently traveling with ?The Fabulous Bud E. Luv Show? shen not performing in San Francisco.
